Trekking & Biking in the heart of Tuscany

“Coat&Tie” and “Adventure” Trekking & Biking in the heart of Tuscany – in the world famous region of the Chianti Classico

Trekking and biking - is still one of the best ways to get to know country and people. Let us guide you on your hikes or start on your own directly from your door step.

The top, absolutely peaceful position of the small hamlet Poderi Val Verde situated in the middle of the natural resort of the Chianti but also easily reached by local roads, is the perfect starting point for trekking and biking tours.

Well marked shady trails (“coat&tie = not too difficult) lead you along creeks with their small ponds and romantic waterfalls, through an uncontaminated nature with rare flowers such as chrismas roses and many types of orchids, an incredibale variety of birds (its a birdswatchers paradise) and naturally wild game such as wild boars, deer, elch, pheasants, porcupines etc. Nature and animal lovers will certainly have their full share.

Breathtakingly beautiful views open onto vineyards and olive groves. Following “adventure trails”, ancient, almost forgotten wagon trails some dating back as far as Roman times (it would not be wrong to have a pair of garden scissors handy) you discover the mediteranian macchia, rough bushes and woods – some tough walking awaits you.

You see - from short walks to extended hikes from “coat&tie” walking to “adventure-trail” hikking, there is something for everybody.

For the more demanding hiker or biker the surrounding sunflooded vineyards and silvery olive groves of the famous Chianti Classico offer even more possibilities to discover the area. Cosy restaurants invite you to taste delicious local food, wineries offer wine tastings or you just reflect and let your soul and fantasy flow when passing romantic chapels and lonely farm houses – all this in one of the most beautiful sceneries of the world – 365 days a year.

If you wish so - we may accompany and guide you on your hikings, arrange picnics, lunch at a restaurant or even a wine tasting. We may also work out individual hiking itenaries according to your wishes and needs. Ask for details and a quote.
