Breathe in the crystal clear air that carries the overwhelming scent of pine and cypress trees, the sweet smell of yellow broom and roses, and the towering perfume of lavender, rosemary, sunflowers and wild herbs.
In the middle of all this you find ancient farm houses guarded by cypress and towering pine trees like the privately owned 16thcentury estate "Poderi Val Verde".
In this small family-style hamlet, (an actual working farm) only 3 km from the next village, the famous Castellina in Chianti, our guests will find undisturbed and unspoiled nature, silence, sun, good food and cooking courses, wine, sports (archery, biking, trekking). Here they may experience the Tuscan culture in its authentic country ambience.
Surrounded by a landscaped, well-lit, park-like garden sits the imposing guest house complex which its various self-catering accommodation combinations all with WiFi modems:

Slightly below the guest houses is a large fenced-in community swimming pool (12 x 6 m) surrounded by a relaxing leisure area with sunning chairs; several shady , rose-covered pavilions with tables and chairs. The shallow entry platform (3x3m) into the pool is an ideal play space for the smallest of our guests.
Beyond the perimeter of the pool is a large grassy playground with soccer field, basketball, volleyball, ping pong. During the cooler season guests may use our other covered, unheated pool(4x8m,1.30m),the only of its kind in this area.
All of the guest houses are set in a well-cared for garden park (incl. vegetable garden) of more than 7 acres - the pride of the German owner and her staff. Cascades of flowers, rose bushes, citrus fruits as well as the surrounding meadows with many rare types of orchids and wild herbs create the unforgettable image of a lost paradise. Stunning is the variety of birds, butterflies as well as fireflies. Since the property of 190 acres, is situated amidst the natural resort area of the “Oasis del Chianti” one may also see wild boars, deer and roe deer, some occasional fox and in the evenings porcupines passing by within sight of the houses. And above all soars a couple of Poiane, the rare Tuscan “eagle” that, to our great joy, has been breeding in our valley for many years now.
The housing complex is surrounded by grass, as well as terracotta paved walks and stairs which join the different levels of homes with their romantic porches and apartments.
There are two community parking lots,1 inside, 1 outside the fenced property.
Enjoy the sunset in complete silence from your terrace, each equipped with garden furniture, sun beds as well as an outdoor grill. Gaze onto the extended gardens, the romantic creek and the surrounding meadows and vast macchia-covered hills of this private property.
Our hands-on cooking course of local and German dishes is offered by the owner in her wonderful farmhouse kitchen.
For an additional charge, on Saturday night guests may request a place at her table to experience the traditional Tuscan welcome dinner. Or join the specialty dinner during the week. These service are on request only. Populating this paradise are many friendly cats, 2 well-behaved dogs, chicken, geese, ducks, geese, pigeons and peacocks. A small herd of rare Cameroon sheep graze on the hillsides
Down by the small creek and surrounding meadows start hiking on well-marked trail which may also be use by mountain and e-Bikers. From 1 to 7 hours they lead through olive groves, forests and vineyards. Along the roads you may do a wine tasting in the various wineries you pass or stop over in a restaurant.
Take traditional archery lessons or try your skill on our three 3D archery ranges set out on the macchia covered hills and oak woods. Our private archery facility is the largest of its kind in all of Europe.
